Caruso is one of the main characters and protagonist in Dino Squad. He is 17 years old and another high school senior in Ms. Moynihan's class, as well as a member of both the football and basketball team with Max. His can also turn into a Stegosaurus.
Appearance[]
Caruso is an older teenage boy with tanned skin with a spiky dark blue hair and light blue eyes. He wears a white casual shirt with rolled up sleeves along with a loose purple hellotrope tie. He also wears darkish red casual pants and black dress shoes. He carries a comb and his beauty mirror in his back pockets.
Personality[]
Caruso can sometimes come across as vain or selfish. He is constantly worrying or thinking about his appearance (mostly hair), or talking about how cool he is. He can also seem obsessed with the idea of becoming famous, sometimes to the squad's detriment, though he eventually learns that his fame-chasing is harmful and isn't worth selling out his friends for ("Headline Nuisance"). He's often reckless and acts before thinking, such as "Pet Peeve" when he buys pets with the intent of internet fame without thinking ahead about their care. Though he isn't the most cooperative member of the team, he still gets along with his friends and goes to help them without a second thought when they're in danger ("Scents and Scents Ability").
Like Buzz and Fiona, he isn't interested in the group project at first, printing out a sushi recipe instead of looking at the tide pools. After working together to save the mutated shark, Caruso warms up to his role on the squad.
Dino Form[]
Caruso's dinosaur form
Caruso transforms into a Stegosaurus. In some segments it oddly had 5 spikes or thagomizer, when in reality a Stegosaurus has 4 spikes on its tail. The Stegosaurus is also shown without a beak and also has sharp teeth in its mouth and has glowing yellow eyes. Caruso has proved his worth in the Dino Squad and is a strong, reliable teammate.
Trivia[]
- Caruso's dino-form has either twelve or fourteen spinal plates, five spikes on its tail and no beak, unlike a real Stegosaurus which had four tail spikes and between seventeen to twenty-two plates.
- Caruso's design was most likely inspired from Vern Natoma from Disney's Fillmore!
- In episode 23, "Scents and Scents Ability" he reveals that he created his own line of moisturizers.
- Rump has caused trouble for Caruso, in the episode The Beginning, he took his jacket and he has taken a cupcake from Caruso, he has also led a chase all over Kittery Point, with Caruso chasing him all around town.
- Caruso's parents know that Caruso can turn into a dinosaur but only after he told them.
